  • Tenders are invited for Provision of Continuous and Sustainable Delivery of Water and Sanitation Services Description of Service: Prequalification to undertake the project which involves the provision of continuous and sustainable delivery of water and sanitation services to NWC customers. To achieve this objective, the islandwide level of NRW must be reduced from the current level of 80% (islandwide figure outside KSA) to the target level of 30%. A secondary objective of the Project is to prepare and implement strategies and action plans that will strengthen the capacity of NWC staff and ensure the improved performance and efficiency of NWC. An additional objective of the Project is an increased level of opportunities for investment in small and medium-sized commercial resorts and housing due to reliable water supply service being realized. In addition, the Contractor will have to assist the NWC to improve its bill collection process to improve the Bill Collection Rate from an actual estimated 90 % to about 96%. The project will be divided into two geographical lots, leading to two contractors, unless a contractor is awarded both lots. Availability of Prequalification Document and Application Submission: This is an online application where prequalification document, clarifications and applications will only be made available and accepted via the Government of Jamaica Electronic Procurement Portal-GOJEP (www.gojep.gov.jm). No offline (hard copies) will be accepted and there will be no physical application drop-off of application documents. • Prequalification documents can be downloaded as of Wednesday, January 10, 2024. • Clarification period - no later than 14 working days (Tuesday, January 30, 2024) before application submission deadline. Submission Deadline: Applications must be submitted via the GOJEP no later than Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Late applications will be automatically rejected by the system. To participate in this prequalification opportunity, suppliers must first be registered on the GOJEP at www.gojep.gov.jm. To register, please select the “Register as a supplier" link from the system home page.
